Darren Isenberg is an Awards Night MC with over 22 years’ experience hosting Corporate and Association Awards nights. His clients hail from all industries … from wealth management to waste management … from health providers to hair salons.
Darren understands that, for an awards night to be a success, they need to be a celebration of success and treated with respect and an appropriate sense of occasion. He makes it his business to understand the gravity of the awards and the achievements of the winners.
Darren also understands that a successful awards night benefits from an atmosphere that is engaging and enjoyable for attendees … and that it is the role of the MC to provide elements such as warmth, personality and some gentle wit.
Importantly, Darren knows the night is a celebration of the client and of the people who work in that organization or industry … it is NOT a celebration of him!
Darren tries to save the client time and money by writing his own script (based, of course, on the notes and run sheet provided by the client). Where appropriate he researches the industry, the organization and the people so that, on stage, he appears a perfect fit for the event, not an outsider brought in for the evening.
He is happy to interview winners, sponsors and other VIPs on stage to help bring a more personal feel to proceedings and also gains much pleasure in providing the AV team (where necessary) with Musical Stings … the atmosphere-creating music which plays when winners and others come to stage.

Darren was one of the most organised MC’s I have come across in my time within events. Darren’s preparation for the event was excellent.
