Gemma was a delight to work with from start to finish. She was very engaged in the preparation and tailored her presentation exactly to our brief. She is an exceptional talent to work with and very articulate and polished in her delivery. She skilfully translates complex financial concepts for a non-financial audience and we were thrilled with her presentation. We will absolutely work with Gemma again.

Telum hosted a breakfast event for 200 of our clients, with Gemma as our key talent. The insights she was able to provide into the media, finance and business worlds were extremely valuable to all there. Her engaging manner, her openness and honesty kept the entire audience engaged. Gemma was the moderator at our last Bulletin Group event held at the Tesla Flagship store in Martin Place. The panel consisted of some of Australia’s leading venture capital investors. Gemma Acton was a dynamic moderator in our lively “Is Corporate Responsibility Just A PR Tool?” debate. Gemma navigated both sides of the debate with expertise, demonstrating her
ability to tease out complex ideas and ask questions with both balance and insight. Gemma’s extensive knowledge of the finance sector, and ability to think on her feet, were key in bringing together the disparate sides of this discussion, ensuring all sides of the debate felt heard. Gemma’s skills as a moderator were essential in bringing this very successful debate together.

Gemma was an outstanding host for our panel discussion on “Will technology break the bank?”. Gemma was knowledgable, energetic and engaging – and skillfully helped our panelists to keep the audience interested and entertained from start to finish.

Gemma was a true highlight for our Finimize ‘Female Financial Dialogue’ panel, discussing the topic ‘Taking the leap into investing’. Gemma’s extensive professional expertise and personal experience successfully executing an ambitious investment portfolio meant her contributions to panel discussion were extraordinarily valuable. Attendees remarked to us in feedback about how enjoyable it was to listen to Gemma’s digestible and actionable contributions. She tailored her engagement to the audience perfectly, energising the room with her motivation and infectious personality. Gemma was a delight to work with and we would be thrilled to include Gemma in any future events we organise.

We had the pleasure of having Gemma Acton join us at CEBIT Australia 2019 as the moderator on a panel, ‘Ethical & functional AI – A discussion about the ethical use of AI in Australia’. The topic requires a great deal of expertise with a knowledgeable moderator. While Gemma does not normally work in AI, she arrived well prepared and well researched, with an excellent grasp of the overarching themes and questions to cover. She very ably guided the discussion, creating

Gemma hosted the Keynote Panel at the Event Summit in 2020 and was pure class. She researched her subject thoroughly, putting in the time and effort to understand the at-times
complex issues and then communicating them in plain English without dumbing down. Gemma hosted the summit like a consummate professional, keeping the sessions informative, revealing and entertaining, allowing time for each speaker while keeping the pace up. She is a pleasure to work with and I recommend her wholeheartedly.

I cannot say enough about how great Gemma was to work with. She is deeply researched on the topic and the person she interviews, completely understood the audience and knew exactly what it takes to drive an engaging fire side chat. Due to her extensive experience she gave us useful teachings and tips throughout the whole process.

Gemma is a strong interviewer. She asks challenging, robust questions but in a way that not only gets the best out of the speaker on stage it makes them feel great after the interview too. In fact she made our speaker feel so at ease that he opened up to the audience and spoke about some tough personal challenges that made wonderful learnings for the whole audience and was the best part of the session.
