As both a doctor and mum of 2, Preeya is passionate about sharing accurate health information and empowering people to make informed decisions around their health. Preeya has also been awarded the ANZAED Eating Disorder Credential, having done additional training in this area.

Preeya uses her social media platform, podcast, and blog to combat health misinformation and deconstruct complex medical topics to make them digestible. She hosts the popular “Happy to Health with Dr Preeya” podcast and previously co-hosted 2 series of the cooking show, Good Chef Bad Chef on Channel 10 and will be co-hosting ABC health report in 2025 on ABC Radio National. Preeya has found a way to combine her passion for medicine and her role as an educator to become a shining example of the qualified “expert influencer.”

What people say about Dr

We were so excited to have Preeya speak at our Creative Careers in Medicine conference, after following her amazing career on social media. We were not disappointed! Preeya was engaging, articulate, inspiring and passionate. Our audience had so many questions and Preeya was so personable and kind with her time. Her enthusiasm for what she does, mixed with her realism and honesty make her an excellent speaker. We would love to have her back next year!
