Bart is one of Australia’s most influential fitness experts, serving as the Head Coach for Jetts Fitness Australia. While his professional expertise is remarkable, it’s his extraordinary life story that truly captivates and inspires audiences.
Diagnosed with aggressive cancer at a young age, Bart faced a battle that would set the stage for the rest of his life. Instead of succumbing to the experience, Bart chose a different path. One of profound determination and hope. Bart chose to not blame anyone or anything for his pain, rather he chose to harness it and learn from it.
In 2020, Bart and his wife faced unimaginable heartache, when their firstborn son, Aurelien, passed away shortly after birth. Although tragic, Aurelien has left a legacy of courage, gratitude and service that is propelled through ‘Aurelien’s Workout’: A moment of catharsis for all the little ones who didn’t get their time on this earth. Even after death, Aurelien is making people fitter, just like his dad.
Bart’s trials don’t end here. He was recently diagnosed with a condition that erodes the nerves in his hands and legs, threatening the thing that gives his life purpose; his movement. Yet, true to his character, Bart refuses to let this diagnosis define him. He approaches this challenge with the same unwavering spirit that has seen him through cancer and the loss of his child.
With a background in acting Bart artfully combines storytelling, humour and inspiration to equip the audience with his Three Rules of Resilience. Lessons learnt only in the toughest corners of the human experience.
Through the raw authenticity of his delivery, Bart makes these rules tangible, helping audiences see that no matter what challenges they face, they too can rise above.
After Bart’s presentation, your audience won’t just walk away feeling inspired, they’ll leave with a new perspective on life. They’ll be challenged to shift from a victim mindset to one of empowerment.
